Appleton Municipal Campground/Lions Park Campground Reservation Information

Due to the increased amount of camping requests, anyone wishing to guarantee a camping site must make a reservation through our NEW online booking system. If you do not have online access, you can call the City Office for assistance in making your reservation. 

 

If your stay will be longer than 7 days, please call the City Office at (320) 289-1363 to check availability. 

 

Campground Policy

Reservations
Check In 3pm. Check out 1pm
Reservations must be paid for in full at the time of booking.
Cancellations can be made anytime. Refunds for cancellation made more than 7 days in advance will be refunded in full, less credit card service fees. No cancellation refunds will be given if less than 7 days’ notice is given.

Pets
Dogs are welcome. Must be on a leash at all times. Owners must pick up after their dog and dispose of dog waste appropriately. Dogs MUST be current on vaccinations.

Parking
Two vehicles per campsite, providing second vehicle does not obstruct the roadway or another campsite. No parking on the grass. Overflow parking can be found on the grass area between the highway and the frontage campground road.

ATV/OHV Use
 The City of Appleton allows for the usage of Class I & II ATV’s on it’s streets.
 They must be registered with the Minnesota DNR. This sticker must be displayed
according to MN statues. Nonresident tags can be purchased online at the MN DNR
website or over the counter at most gas stations and outdoor stores.
 Non-street legal bikes (dirt bikes) are not allowed.
 Use the closest, designated ATV route to your location.
 All MN laws apply, including the need for a City ATV Permit.
 City ATV Permits can be obtained on the city website or through this portal.

Other Campground Rules
Garbage must be disposed of properly. Dumpster is on site. No littering.
Quiet hours are 9pm to 9am Saturday and Sunday; 7am to 10pm Monday thru Friday. Campers will be responsible for damage or vandalism to their site.
Be courteous to other campers.
